Semá:th Territory Land Acknowledgement

In the spirit of reconciliation, land acknowledgments have become more common at events and gatherings. We encourage the use of this land acknowledgement, and thank organizations and groups in advance for taking the time to educate those at your event or gathering about the territory and history of the Semá:th people.

“We acknowledge that we are gathered on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Semá:th. This land has been, and continues to be, a place of history, culture, and connection for the Semá:th people that have been here since time immemorial. We honor their enduring stewardship of this land and their continued contributions to its vibrancy and resilience.”
