The Marketing & Communications Department is responsible for the official public communications of Sumas First Nation, along with all marketing, internal communications, brand management, graphic design, and web development. We ensure that all messaging accurately reflects the values and priorities of Semá:th while upholding cultural integrity. Through clear and consistent communication, we strengthen public understanding, support Nation priorities, and advance the interests of the Sumas First Nation in all external and internal forums.

Marketing Responsibilities

Our Marketing & Communications team leads digital outreach, brand stewardship, and content creation to ensure the Sumas First Nation is represented with professionalism, integrity, and cultural respect across all platforms.

Manage the Nation’s online presence, including website updates, social media content, and other online initiatives.

Maintain and protect the visual identity and brand standards of Sumas First Nation across all materials and platforms.

Develop culturally respectful and engaging promotional materials, including brochures, posters, videos, and digital content for internal & external use.

Communications Initiatives

Through strategic communications, our team manages media relations, delivers clear updates to Members, and ensures official messaging reflects the voice and values of the Semá:th Nation.

Our team is responsible for fielding media inquiries, coordinating interviews, and managing responses to public information requests.

Maintain and protect the visual identity and brand standards of Sumas First Nation across all materials and platforms.

Draft, review, and distribute public statements, press releases, and formal announcements.
