DESCRIPTION:Sumas First Nation’s Healing Homes department is excited to participate in the annual Canoe Journey\, Paddle to Nisqually. Registration is open to all Semá:th members. All registrants under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult at all times of the Canoe Journey.Our Canoe Journey will begin on July 17\, 2026 through to August 6\, 2026. However\, there will be some sessions to participate in prior to our departure. We ask that you attend these sessions to engage in the full experience and gain all updates prior to the trip. This will include the following: \n\n\n\n\nJune 5\, 2026: Registration and Orientation | Healing Homes Portable (beside the Health Building)\n\n\n\nJune 11\, 2026: Regalia Making  | Healing Homes Portable (beside the Health Building)\n\n\n\nJune 18\, 2026: Beading  | Healing Homes Portable (beside the Health Building)\n\n\n\nJuly 2\, 2026: Drumming and Singing | McDonald Park\n\n\n\nJuly 17\, 2026: Beginning of the Canoe Journey\n\n\n\n\nRegistration to travel with Semá:th is mandatory. Please download one of the attached consent form/liability waivers\, all registrants under the age of 18 must have the youth form complete by a Parent/Guardian. Once the form is complete\, you can send via email to Healing.Homes@sumasfirstnation.com\, or bring with you to the registration and orientation on June 5\, where you will receive confirmation and details to the next steps. As the travel will include crossing the United States boarder\, valid ID is required.
